Torquay project

The grade sixes are getting information for a project about Torquay. We have three weeks to complete the hard and challenging project. Our projects are going to be presented with confidence and neatness. It has to have a WOW factor and we have to present it on its due-date, the 25th of March. We will be spending lots of time at home working on it. I reckon they will all look amazing. It has to have 6 tourist attractions, 2 hand drawn maps, 5 interesting facts, what local trade industry is in the Torquay area, and a timeline about the history of Torquay. Also it has to all be hand drawn and written. Nothing done on the computer!!!

Torquay Camp

On the 28th of March, the grade sixes are going on Torquay camp. We are leaving from school at 9.30am and are going to be on the bus for about two and a half hours. When we arrive at our campsite in Torquay, we will get ourselves organised and get ready for our awesome adventure in Torquay. We are going to be sleeping in tents in groups of two or three. We are all very excited about all the cool activities we will be doing, like fishing, bike riding, hiking, shopping, boogie boarding and especially SURFING. We will also be doing stuff like cooking marshmallows and singing songs around campfires. Thank you to all the teachers and parents who will be coming along to help.

The Amazing Farm!

As you all know the farm is coming along amazingly. It is a very peaceful place where the kids can have some fun times with animals from grade prep to 6. Also some very lucky grades get to make their own vegetable and fruit garden. Also every Friday Mrs. Clayton takes the grades prep to 4 for one hour to have fun and have some experience in the farm. We now have animals such as: chickens, ducks, rabbits and roosters.
Thanks to all of the amazing sustainability leaders who have dedicated their time to help out, and to the parents and teachers!

What's happening in grade 6

• Gr 6 have been doing math mentals. They also have got a Torquay project too!!



• They have been doing a wild thing assignment & have been studying mateship and values.



• Allot of grade sixes have been trying out for football, basketball & netball state teams.



• I.C.T have been doing a lot of work for the preps and the blog, but we all like it.



• Torquay camp is coming up for the grades sixes. It's going to be so awesome!
